Really only the westernmost building is Truck Engine Engineering. Everything else within the boundary here is Ford Allen Park Test Laboratories (APTL).

This site was indeed an old clay mine turned industrial waste landfill. It had held waste from the Ford Rouge plant since the 1950's. The VA hospital was torn down to build Independence Marketplace at the bottom of the hill at the intersection of Southfield and Outer Dr. http://www.apwa.net/Resources/Reporter/Articles/2005/6/Ford-Allen-Park-Clay-Mine-Landfill---Fairlane-Green-Redevelopment

This was an industrial landfill with an entrance off of Oakwood Blvd. The VA Hospital was at the bottom of the hill on the site of Lowes.

Great school to go to if you want to be terribly unprepared for the real world. Really, REALLY poor too; be prepared to be stalked for the rest of your life with alumni letters asking for donations.
